Soon Picture-in–Picture mode for Video calling to the WhatsApp users

WhatsApp is the most eminent instant messaging application in the current scenario with one billion of active users in every day around the world. From India only, there are two hundred millions of the users raised due to its simplicity in usage and low data consumption. Last year, they rolled out the video calling feature in the WhatsApp.

They keep on updates the feature of the application and always hold their unique place in the messaging application platform. WhatsApp already has many mesmerizing features for the users like live location sharing, voice and video calls, Earn using whatsapp clone app, pin feature, sharing of images, videos, GIF, any format of files with size limit and even more features.

The app looks to set a new functionality, which will make the video call more convenient by allowing the user to continue their chat as they make a video call. In the recent version of the WhatsApp 2.17.265, a new feature of WhatsApp picture-in-picture mode for the video calling has been spotted in this version.

This PIP mode inside the WhatsApp was turned on by default on Android O developer preview according to Award winning Chat application 2018  the tweet by the WABetaInfo. It further clarified the Android 8.0 O has a particular API that was used by the WhatsApp for enabling the feature. For the iPhone users, they have to wait to make its way.

However, it is unclear if the WhatsApp users will be able to move the picture-in-picture window around the screen or it will stay at a fixed position by simply minimize the screen. If it is a floating window then it will be very easy to drag and drop the window anywhere on the screen. It remains puzzled about this feature until it releases for the users. If the pop-out video calls can be continued after minimizing the WhatsApp window then we can do any other task on the phone. So we have to wait for this feature to roll out to get more clarity. If this feature rolls out in this app, then it will be the first app providing multi task on a smart phone window.
